Yes, you are reading right from us. Tamil Nadu Government started on 27 July 2022 CM free breakfast scheme. In which Coimbatore city is the first beneficiary to avail this scheme. Approximately 7618 students from 64 schools located in the Coimbatore city.

Overview of Free Breakfast Scheme in Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu CM free breakfast scheme has approximately more than 33 crore of budget. Old primary school students classes from 1 to 5 will get benefit under this scheme. At the time of launches government announced that this scheme is starting as soon as possible. In this scheme state government working on phase level.

we are happy to know that government starting phase 1 in Coimbatore City. Where 64 schools are counted in which 7618 students are studying in government primary school classes from 1 to 5. Besides, 1119 students from 9 schools in mettupalayam municipality and approximately 700 student from three schools in Madukkarai municipality hey also been selected in Coimbatore district.

Deputy Commissioner ordered about CM free breakfast scheme

Deputy Commissioner of Coimbatore Dr M Sharmila said we publish tender inviting to contractor. There are total responsibility of contractor to prepare and distribute the breakfast at a time to all government school of Coimbatore. Contractor establish a common kitchen for 64 schools and that all schools are divided into five zones. The contractor will bear all expenses preparing and transporting of the breakfast, even salary of cook and manage all items required to preparing the food of breakfast.

Deputy Commissioner also said we are looking volunteers for preparing and serving the food to the government schools, we have a fixed rate for a breakfast dishes. That is 10 to 12 rupees per head.
