This scheme started by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on the October, 2022. In actually this scheme is the result of election manifesto. Whatever it is but through YSR Kalyanamasthu Scheme, state government of Andhra Pradesh provide financial support to the daughters of the poor families of the state. Shadi Tohfa Scheme and Kalyanamasthu Scheme is like one heart in two bodies. Means that their name are the different but they worked same way to provide financial assistance to the poor daughters of the state. YSR Kalyanamasthu Scheme provide financial assistance to the non Muslims daughter while Shadi Tohfa Scheme provides financial assistance to the Muslim daughters.

They said that this amount is only for 12,132 girls who married during first quarter of the year 2023. They also said that financial assistance will be provided to the beneficiaries bank account directly through DBT Mode. |

- Applicant must passed SSC examination.
- If applicant have more than 10 acres of land which is dry and have more than 3 acres of land which is wet than they are ineligible for the scheme.
- Bride age is minimum 18 years and groom age is at least 21 years at the time of marriage.
- Scheme agenda is to provide financial assistance to the poor families that’s why applicant’s family annual income not more than 1,20,000 in rural areas and 1,44,000 in urban areas.
- If applicant parents are working under state or central government than their children are ineligible for the scheme.
- Applicant must free from tax slab.
- widows are eligible under YSR Kalyanamasthu Scheme.
- There must not have any member of the family who get pension from government actively.
