West Bengal NMMS 2023 Details

Students who already studying in class VIII (Class 8) are eligible to appear in the exam of West Bengal NMMS Scholarship. For that state government released Date of examination and Registration process. Students who are interested in WB NMMS Exams they must be registered and fill Online Application Form from 23rd June to 25th July in 2023. National Means Cum Merit Scholarship exam will be held on 17th December, 2023.

National Means Cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS) Objective

One of the main objective to starting NMMS Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to the economical weaker sections (EWS) of the society. Due to this financial assistance economically Weaker students are able to complete their 12th standard easily without facing financial conditions. By the way this Scholarship is only for Government School Students or Govt aid in School students.

WB NMMS Scholarship Benefits

• This National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Provide financial support to the EWS category students.
• This Financial Assistance amount is 12,000 per annum.
• It means 1000 INR per month will get every student who passed NMMS Exam.

WB NMMS Exams 2023 Eligibility Criteria

• Only students of VIII Class from West Bengal are eligible.
• Students who passed Class VII with minimum 55% or Above are eligible to apply online for NMMS Scholarship.
• 5% relaxation for SC, ST and Disabled Students.
• Students who are studying in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, State government run residential school and Privet School Students are not eligible under the scholarship.
• Students are eligible who are studying in recognised Govt schools, Govt aided school, Local body and Govt sponsored school including Madrasah without residential facility.
• Applicant family income not exceeding to 3.5 lakh per annum.
  • For salaried employee of govt, semi govt and govt aided organization must provide employer certificate issued from 1st April, 2022 to 31st March, 2023.
  • for remaining, income Certificate from 1st April, 2022 to 31st March, 2023 must be provided.
• Application must have an bank account on his/her name in public sector Bank or any scheduled bank.
• If bank account is join than applicant name must be first.
• Bank Account must be linked with Aadhaar Card.

Exam pattern for WB NMMS 2023

• Syllabus:- In this exam, no prescribed syllabus for exam. But students must be referred syllabus of Class VII and Class VIII.
• Subjects:- Geography, History, Mathematics, Life Science and Physical Science.
• Marking System:- There are no negative marking.
• Question Style:- Every question are objective type and every question weightage is 1 mark.
• Vacancy:- For the year 2023 in West Bengal vacancy is for 7250 students.

• MAT= Mental Ability Test, SAT= Scholastic Aptitude Test
• Extra Exam time will be given to the disability candidate.
