About Mukhyamantri Baristha Bunakar O Karigar Sahayata Yojana Odisha 2024
Recently on 14th February, 2024 CM Naveen Patnaik announced to launch Mukhyamantri Baristha Bunakar O Karigar Sahayata Yojana (MBBKSY) for the welfare of Weavers and handicrafts artisans in the state. Under this scheme state government will provide financial assistance to directly their bank account through DBT Mode. Maximum Rs 700 Financial Assistance will be provided to weavers and weaving assistants so far.
But Now under Mukhyamantri Baristha Bunkar Karigar Sahayata Yojana that financial assistance will be increased to Rs 2000 and Rs 2500 per month for the beneficiaries whose age is less than 80 years and above 80 years respectively.

Objective of MBBKSY Odisha
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said that Weavers and Handicrafts are play vital role to create image of Odisha as a rich heritage in the country. That’s why to provide them a better livelihood, this Mukhyamantri Baristha Bunkar O Karigar Sahayata Yojana will be implemented and provide them a monthly financial assistance or we can say it monthly pensions for weavers and handicrafts.
Mukhyamantri Baristha Bunakar O Karigar Sahayata Yojana Benefits (Financial Amount)
As we discussed earlier that every eligible Weavers, Weaving Assistants and Handicrafts will get financial assistance under the MBBKSY Scheme. This financial assistance will be varied as per the different age groups and different for the men and women. Eligibility Criteria
- Only one member of the family is eligible to avail monthly financial benefits.
- If applicant’s family member doing government job or any member paying income tax then those are not eligible for the MBBKSY Odisha.
- Applicant’s family income is not exceed to Rs 1 lakh per annum.
- Beneficiaries should not have been of this type of State or Central Government schemes.
- Name of the applicant must be registered as a weavers, Weaving Assistants and Handicrafts in the list of director of textiles and director of handicrafts.
