Odisha Mission Shakti Loan Scheme Details 2024
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched Mission Shakti Loan Scheme on 27th February. Through this scheme nearly 70 lakh women who joined Self Help Groups in the Odisha will be able to take a loan from the specified banks. Special feature of the Interest Free Loan Scheme for Women is they no need to pay single rupee as a interest of their loan amount. SHGs women will be able to take 1 million rupees as a loan under the scheme.
As per the CM said at the launching ceremony at Lok Seva Bhavan Convention Centre in Bhubaneswar, 15,000 crore rupees loan amount has been availed for the SHGs women in this financial year 2023-24 and now that will be reach to 75,000 crore rupees loan amount in the next 5 years.
History of Mission Shakti Loan Odisha
The first time Mission Shakti Loan – State Interest Subversion Scheme was introduced in the year of 2013. At that time state government was provided 3 lakh rupees loan at the interest rate of 2% in a year to the Self Help Groups Women. After that in the year of 2015, this scheme was revised and the amount of interest has been reduced to 1% for the same amount.
After that, Odisha State Government announced that now SHGs women can avail to take a loan with 0% interest rate under Mission Shakti Loan Programme of Rs 3 Lakh in 2019. From that, after the 4 years and norw CM Naveen Patnaik announced to increased the amount and that is going to be Rs 10 lakh with 0% interest rate for the women under the scheme.
