Govt hikes loan limit up to 20 Lakhs under Kalinga Sikhya Sathi Scheme

Odisha Higher education department officially announced on 30th September that now students who want to take a education loan under Odisha Kalinga Sikhya Saathi Yojana are able to avail 20 lakhs loan amount instead of 10 lakhs. also state govt changes in the eligibility of the scheme before now this scheme criteria is those annual income is less than 6 lakh will become beneficiary but now those annual income less than 8 lakhs are too become beneficiary under the KSSY Scheme in Odisha.

Objective of Kalinga Sikhya Sathi Yojana

Main Objective to starting the Kalinga Sikhya Sathi Yojana is to provide loan for higher education to the student of parents who are unable to pay higher fees. In this scheme Odisha Government provide up to 10 lakhs amount at the interest rate of only 1%. Time period of repayment amount is 15 years for 10 lakhs loan amount. As well as for the loan of 7.5 lakhs, time period of repayment amount is 10 years.
