| May, 2024: Friends, from September, 2022 the financial assistance will be provided through DBT Mode under MBPY to 15 lakhs beneficiaries out of 2.8 million beneficiaries. But due to some technical glitches faced on MBPY Portal state government decided to provide financial assistance in cash from June 2024. Now every beneficiaries will get a cash on hand on 15th of every month through Gram Panchayat. One of the major issue in Direct Benefit Transfer is to withdrawal of cash from Bank. For your information we want to say that in the Odisha there are weak network of banking services. That’s why old age people walk through bank and withdraw their cash. To avoid walking to the bank Odisha State government decided to provide Cash under MadhuBabu Pension Scheme. |
Odisha Govt Extends MadhuBabu Pensioners
| 07th August: On this Day CM Naveen Patnaik extended the list of Beneficiaries under MBPY Scheme Odisha. Till now through this scheme 28.61 lakhs elderly people has been awarded with pension but now state government increased the no. Of people under the scheme and reach to 32.75 lakhs. It means nearly 4.13 lakhs more people are eligible to get the benefits of Madhu Babu Pension Scheme. They all will get benefits of pension from 15th August, 2024. |
Hikes in Madhu Babu Pension Amount
Dated 10th February, 2024 Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced to hike pension amount under MBPY Scheme from the February Month. State Government increase the amount by 500 rupees for each category. As per the media reports Pension amount will be transferred between 20 to 25 February. Those who get earlier pension like Rs 500, Rs 700 and Rs 900 per month will now getting Rs 1000, Rs 1200 and Rs 1400 per month respectively.

Step 2: When you click on the direct link you will be directed at the home page of the MBPY Official Portal.
Step 3: Now on the Home page you have to click on “Pension Schemes” option.
Step 4: Now on the new page, you have to select Madhu Babu Pension Yojana from drop down menu and click on the “Proceed” Button.
Step 5: Now your screen will be displayed with Madhu Babu Pension Yojana Online Application Form like shown in the image below.
