Tamil Mozhi Karpom Scheme started by State Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi in Tirupur District. This scheme is basically started for teaching Tamil subject to those who are studying in Tamil Nadu State but they are from another states. It means who are migrants those are able to join the Tamil Classes. Let’s Learn Tamil Scheme will be implemented across the state by gradually. But now in the first phase of the scheme 260 children will be taught Tamil Language.

Tamil Mozhi Karpom Scheme Objective
One of the main objective to starting Tamil Mozhi Karpom Scheme is to provide Tamil Language classes to the children of Migrant Workers in the Tamil Nadu. That’s why they can teach, speak and talk frequently in Tamil.
Tamil Mozhi Karpom Budget
As we informed you earlier that in the first phase of the scheme 260 children of Tirupur District will be taught by Tamil Classes under Tamil Mozhi Karpom. But nearly 34 lakhs migrants in the state as per the 2011 Census. So state government gradually covered all the children who are migrated. For that Tamil Nadu State government allocate 71.11 lakh under the scheme.
Tamil Nadu State Govt provide Rs. 1000 to the women head of the family through Magalir Urimai Thogai.
Benefits and Features of Tamil Mozhi Karpom
- Tamil Mozhi Karpom has been started by Education Minister in Tirupur on 11th July.
- This scheme will provide Free Tamil Language classes to the children of Migrant Workers.
- As per the 2011 Census, 34 lakhs of migrant workers are in Tamil Nadu in which 20 lakhs are in Tirupur District alone.
- That’s why more than 3 million of migrant students will be eligible for Let’s Learn Tamil scheme.
- State Government allocate more than 7 million rupees for successful implementation of the scheme.
- For now only 260 children will able to join Tamil Mozhi Karpom Class after that this scheme will be facilitated across the state.
- Let’s Learn Tamil Class are totally free for the Children of Migrant Workers.
